Easy And Effective Way To Clean Your Burnt Pans

If you’re into cooking (or if you only cook to avoid starving) you’ll know how a pan is your most important tool in the kitchen. This kitchenware is used every day and sometimes more than once a day, so it’s only natural that it gets dirty or burnt faster than other dishes. Keep reading to learn the easiest, but most of all, most effective ways to clean your burnt pans.

Alka Seltzer

Alka Seltzer is a marvelous ingredient that can make you feel instantly better, but it also works wonders around the kitchen. If you don’t have club soda for a traditional cleaning method, simply add 2 tablespoons of hot water into your pan, let it rest for a few minutes and then you can proceed to scrub the surface gently with a brush.

Baking Soda and Vinegar

We can’t make a list of the best-proven methods to clean pans without including these two superstar ingredients. Vinegar is a fantastic multi-purpose cleaner and sanitizer, it can clean glass and also disinfect all sorts of materials. Start by pouring a mix of water and vinegar into the bottom of the pan. Turn on the stove and heat up the mix until it comes to a boil, then remove it from the stove and drain the contents.

Next, take some baking soda and sprinkle it over the empty pan. This powder will act as an abrasive compound that will ease up the cleaning. Gently scrub the pan with a scouring pad to remove any traces of burnt food, then give it a final rinse and you’re done.

Salt

One of the best-tested ingredients to remove scorching in pans, as well as greasy stains, is to use salt. If you have coarse Kosher salt at hand it’ll work even better. To start, pour the grains of salt onto the burn or dirty pan, then throw some dish detergent on it and scrub along with hot water. If you need extreme care, you can also cut half a lemon and use the juice to rub directly along with the salt.

Dryer Sheets

You might’ve not known that dryer sheets are great for many things outside the dryer machine! For this ultra-effective pan cleaning method, start by adding a few drops of dish soap along with some hot water. Then take a dryer sheet and fully submerge it in the mix for about an hour. When an hour has passed, remove the dryer sheet and rinse out the pan with a scouring pad and more dish soap.

Boiled Lemons

Lemons are the perfect acidic ingredient that’s not as abrasive as chemical cleaners, this makes them perfect to act on your kitchenware. To do a boiled lemon cleaning, start by cutting three lemons in quarters and placing them directly on the pan. Fill the pan with a few inches of water and place it on the stove-top to bring the water to a boil. After approximately 10 minutes, you’ll start to notice food particles floating on the surface, that’s when you must throw away the water and lemons, rinse and use a scouring pad to remove any leftovers.
